Much Mesolithic research has focused on the “hunter” characteristic of hunter-gatherers and their relationship with the animals they killed, but what of the “gatherer” facet? Dr Barry Taylor, of the University of Chester, is researching the connection between people and plants including aspects such as; how plants were used and the concept of “good” and “bad” plants. In this second episode of The Post Hole Meets... we discuss Dr Taylor’s research, Star Carr and the prospect of world’s first space archaeologist.

The Post Hole would like to especially thank the York Seminar Series Team and Dr Barry Taylor. The above movie and audio are copyright The Post Hole 2014.
